The itinerary of the trip was not the same as the one we received before departure. There was no overnight stay in Tukuche which meant that we spent less time in Mustang than expected. It was more of a general tour of Nepal with a few days in the mountains… The roads in Mustang are getting better so you cover the distances more quickly. To keep it as a Mustang tour you should plan more days there, perhaps by dispensing with the visit to Chitwan. Also, as the roads get better, it will become less of an “adventure” tour. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed it!
Primarily a French company that appeals to their home market If you don’t speak French can be a isolating experience
A fabulous experience. I recommend amending the pre-departure checklist for this trip to mention recommendation for full body protection (including leg protection).
Last point re the trip, The first 2-3 days had a lot of riding in traffic on main roads. This was not clear in the itinerary and was the worst part of the trip. You should look at changing this. Also Deepak made many small changes along the way which was great to give us the better riding experience and see a few things more.
I enjoyed the trip but sadly wouldn't go with Vintage Rides again. This was because of the language issue. The 'linga franca' of the group was French and because of this at the end of a long day everyone wanted to chat in their native language. Which meant that i and the other Mike were 'thrown together ' somewhat. Not a problem but a little limiting. The riding was harder than I expected. My fault i think...i forgot that my last off road racing was over 15 years ago. Next time something a little more relaxing preferably with paved roads.
Tough but very enjoyable...... Great memories
The trip was incredible! Planning the next one with family and friends at the moment! Gutted that we never got a T-shirt though! Loved them and the hoodies... if there’s any chance of sending one out I would wear it with pride!
The scenery of the upper mustang was spectacular and the bikes were fun. Might be a nice trip on RE Himalayans.
Loved it completely! Thanks Guys for a brilliant experience with unforgettable memories! So good.
There were some issues with permits that caused some delays at Tatapani. Need better support from support team. Vintage office staff should each ride the routes they are promoting so they have a better understanding of the challenges and daily logistics involved.
It was everything I expected & much more. Cant fault it.
on the ride page more details on way a tour is "Demanding" like (High altitude, off road driving, water passing, mud, gravel) so we do not end up with a rider in the follow car for 90% of the trip :-/
This was my first MC trip, so some of the questions does not make sense. But I found the price reasonable. If the trip was even more special or extreme I would probably also pay more for a trip. I am not sure about what destination will be next, but lets see.
Ravi is a rock star
