YOUR MOTORCYCLE TOUR IN MOROCCO8 stages - 621 miles

1/8 • Ouarzazate
Salam! Welcome to the Atlas Mountains in Ouarzazate! Your driver will take you to Aït Ben Haddou*. Once you’re settled into your riad, you’ll head to the ksar, an eleventh-century UNESCO-protected fortified village. Take your time to wander around and get lost in its alleyways. Expect picture-perfect views at the turn of every corner. In the evening, get together with the rest of the group for a quick briefing about your adventure.
2/8 • Ait Benhaddou - Foum Zguid
Today is the first day of our Moroccan adventure! We start by crossing Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert, and continue south. We take a short break to visit Fint Oasis and find out how farming works here. We then follow a series of bends into an exceptional rocky landscape with villages forming oases in the hollow of the desert mountains. Travellers are few and far between on these roads, so we’ll feel privileged to cross the Atlas Mountains almost totally alone. We take a tajine break in Taznakht before heading back on the road to Foum Zguid on a stretch of the Paris-Dakar racetrack. Overnight stay at a comfortable hotel.
3/8 • Foum Zguid - Zagora
Today, we head to Zagora. We hit the track early in the morning and cross a valley that looks abandoned, but as we progress, we come across some villages and back to civilisation! We stop for an improvised picnic, the perfect moment to admire the landscape and stretch our legs. Entering Zagora is marvellous, as we cross the Draa River to reach our riad. After this wonderful riding day, a spa and massages are available to those who want them (at extra cost).
4/8 • Zagora - M’Hammid
Early in the morning, we visit Zagora Oasis and the Jewish kasbah where some jewellers still work. We then get back on the road for a short ride to Erg Lihoudi Dunes, where we end the day. We’ll enjoy a traditional meal and stay overnight at a camp. It’s time to kick off your shoes, walk barefoot in the dunes and enjoy the calm and the sheer vastness of the desert. Welcome to the Sahara! We’ll spend the night under the stars.
5/8 • M’Hammid - N’Kob
We drink one last tea with our feet in the sand and get back on the road. We visit Tamegroute and its Koran library where ancient manuscripts are archived. Ahmed also offers a tour of the village and we visit some local potters, a renowned craft throughout Morocco. We set off again through Draa Valley hopping from one bank to another. Once we get to N’Kob, we stroll around this typical regional town, home to more than 40 kasbahs.
6/8 • NKob - Vallée du Dadès
We only have a short ride today. We leave N’Kob and quickly climb to a higher altitude in the Jbel Saghro massif and cross Tizi n’Tazazert mountain pass at almost 2,300 m altitude. The views are incredible and don’t stop until we make our way down to the Dades Gorge. We enjoy all the shades of red in this emblematic valley and arrive at our favourite hostel.
7/8 • Dades - Ait Ben Haddou/Ouarzazate
Today’s our last day on the slopes of the Atlas Mountains on fantastic tracks until we get to Skoura. After a week on our Royal Enfields, these tracks become easier to tackle and we take them on with confidence. It is difficult to believe our eyes, there is one stunning landscape after the other, drenched in red and orange hues. It’s the perfect way to end our adventure.
8/8 • Ait ben Haddou - Aéroport international de Ouarzazate
Enjoy your last day in the calm of the Atlas Mountains. It’s a chance to reminisce about the many hours you’ve spent on your Royal Enfield. Drink one last mint tea before getting a taxi to the airport. Or why not extend your Morocco trip and visit Marrakesh or Essaouira?* You are taken to Ouarzazate International Airport according to your flight times. This is where our services end. *Ask for more information about transfers.
