D4 / The outcome

By the end of the 2 days you to be confident in your ability to manage a motorcycle in an off-road environment. For some, you’ ll leave with the confidence on the bike to take on some of our more challenging adventures around the world. For others, you will be ready to tackle a more balanced adventure that features a good mix of road and off road riding. Upon completing the training our team will provide you with guidance as to the level of tour you should consider for a future adventure with Vintage Rides.

D5 / The site

Set in the south of the stunning Snowdonia National Park our site offers the per fect escape and world to practice your offroad skills. Enjoy our famously twisty local roads on your way here and soak up the abundance of scenic trails we have on our doorstep some of which we will be tackling on day 2 of our training. For the weekend we will be staying in two 3-bedroom lodges (twin bedrooms, doubles can be arranged), with fully equipped kitchens and spacious living rooms. Each lodge has 2 bathrooms.    Within walking distance is a 16th-century market town which provides us a hub with a selection of cafes and pub options we will be exploring over the course of the weekend.    At the foot of the Cader Idris mountain range in southern Snowdonia is where your off road adventure is truly about to begin!

D6 / Himalayan 411

You’ll be training on the tried and trusted Royal Enfield Himalayan 411cc a capable and dependable machine easy to tame and used for many of our adventures around the world. The lightweight and balanced proportions of the bike make it a very friendly companion. Its 411 cc single-cylinder engine produces a torque of 32 Nm and a maximum power of 24.5 bhp. ts 21-inch wheels make it per fect for getting to grips with Off-roading. You’ ll appreciate the smoothness of its engine and how discretely it vibrates, no matter the speed. Thanks to its low centre of gravity (22 cm ground clearance), riders quickly grasp handling the Himalayan and adopt a natural riding position, whether seated or standing. Its comfortable saddle and supple suspension make long riding days a pleasure. It really is the best motorcycle for riders who want to experience simplicity and adventure without having to compensate on comfort.
