When should one travel in Japan?

The best season for a motorcycle trip in Japan is in spring and autumn. Between March and May, during the Japanese spring season, the cherry trees begin to blossom. This is a great festival in the whole country, from Okinawa to Hokkaido. The autumn season, from September to November, is also a pleasant moment for travelling in Japan. The weather is cool, the skies clear and the maple trees bear magnificent colours. The climate in Japan is very difficult to describe as it is subject to diverse influences. The country is governed by two alternating winds with a cold current from the North and a hot current from the South. There are thus great variations depending on the latitude and the altitude. Despite the trauma and the damage caused by the global conflict, Japan rose from its ashes like the Phoenix to become one of the greatest economic powers of the world.
