I would recommend vintage rides Ladakh trip to friends.
Firstly I would like to re-iterate that your team (in the office or on the ground locally) were outstanding! They really made this trip smooth. Also the trips set out and the accommodations booked (well, almost all) were good relative to the environment. Although I would say that I feel a bit shortchanged having paid a single room premium, but we all had single rooms by default through the low number of riders! As described above for me it would have been good if the amount/intensity of the rides would have been clearer before/while booking. I may have made other choices as it was very intense and I sometimes felt out of my depth. I think what also could be a good idea is that instead of having a buffer day at the end, you introduce a a rest day between two of the circuits. I think that would have helped me for instance. Just a thought. All in all I think the experience was a positive one, but it was a bit touch and go for a bit. As said, your team on the ground was great and helped me all the way and that made a massive difference!
many problems
My first trip with Vintage Rides was well organised, we went to interesting places and had fun. I was the only Englishman amongst 11 French speakers but I got a warm welcome and made some good friends
It was a special trip. Highly recommended.
I’m more than happy to recommend VR to anyone wishing for an adventurous bike tour.
Overall I enjoyed the trip immensely. It was the perfect blend of motorcycle adventuring and exploring a foreign land off the beaten track. My only real negative recollection was the pace of the trip. At times the filming really detracted from the experience. I know Francois was trying to balance this but I would definitely not join another tour with a camera crew. It was also a much larger group than I have ridden with before and it took several days before we got into a rhythm of stopping / starting and waiting for people. Thanks very much to the VR team. I will look for other trips with you in the future.
I did enjoy it very much. The only thing which really disappointed was the amount of stopping and setting up of video shots. This was excessive and detracted from the experience
A thoroughly enjoyable trip Great company
I think there is still a little way to go to make the non-French speakers more welcome, but this trip was a big step forward in my view from my previous trip.
The food was amazing in both quantify and variety! And the hotel accommodations were much nicer than I expected, this was not "roughing it." I was the only native English speaker on the tour and next time I'm going to confirm, before I sign up, that there will be other English conversant fellow travelers. Otherwise much of the benefit of traveling with a group is lost.
Awesome I was planning a solo trip but this is by far the best way to experience the chosen area of the tour Great to mix with like minded souls with everything laid on for you and the knowledge, guidance and leadership of the guide
This trip exceeded expectations. The scenery, the bikes, the Vintage Rides team, the accommodation, the food, the local people and my fellow riders. I went as a solo rider in a group made up of 3 from the UK, 3 from France and 1 from Ireland and we bonded really well and very quickly.
I have already detailed. But to add. I class myself as an experienced rider. But India and the tour made the trip way outside my comfort zone. Although I found some of the roads, especially the off road sections extremely challenging I loved every moment.! Thank you for an amazing trip!!!
I really enjoyed the trip. The first few days were intense but the overall pace was good as the distances eased off towards the end of the tour. Dev and Ashram were both very professional and ensured we were well looked after all the time. all in all a great trip.
The trip was an amazing experience for both the challenge of the motorcycling and the chance to get to know India's history and present culture. Just fabulous.
Excellent trip, my second time with Vintage Rides. Will definitely travel with VR again.
Rwanda is amazing. We loved the country and the people in it. This is one of my most favorite places I've ever been. The issues with the bikes did not ruin the trip for me, but it also makes it impossible to recommend Vintage Rides or to want to take another tour with your company.
Always love the trips, such unique and amazing experiences!
