At dawn, while the Indian capital still sleeps, we familiarise ourselves with our Royal Enfields. We start our tour heading towards Shekhawati, famous for its majestic haveli mansions built by the region’s merchants. We arrive in Mandawa, a traditional village surrounded by semi-desert terrain.
We continue through Shekhawati and stop to visit the fantastically restored Nadine Le Prince haveli. Then, we push through landscapes that become increasingly arid and desert-like towards Nagaur, near the Thar Desert. We take a quick look around the imposing fort before ending the day at our palace in Khimsar.
We make our way to Pushkar on small roads, followed by a main road for a few miles. Then, we take a few tracks and part-asphalt roads to Pushkar, a small, peaceful town built around a sacred lake, which is an important Hindu pilgrimage site.
We cruise along small roads to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital. Sambhar Salt lake comes into view and we ride around it. You can spend the late afternoon visiting the "Pink City".
Today’s our last day of biking. In the morning, we visit the immense Amer fort, a few miles north of Jaipur, before riding on small roads to Alwar Fort. We discover a greener Rajasthan, where we can appreciate inspiring rustic simplicity through low-lying mountains as we approach and cross Sariska nature reserve.
We’re transferred back to the capital in a private vehicle to avoid the busy traffic. You’re transferred to the airport according to your evening flight, where our services end.
You're taken to Agra from New Delhi in a private vehicle with driver. During 2 or 3 days, visit the fabulous Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and the Red Fort of Agra.
2 days to discover the sacred town of Varanasi. An English-speaking guide shows you around the Buddhist city of Sarnath, one of the four holy Buddhist cities. As the sunsets, you take a stroll along the Varanasi ghats and attend Aarti, a daily worship ritual. On the second day, you take a boat tour at sunrise, visit the University, Bharat Mata Mandir and the rest of the city.
