D5 / Jodhpur - Ghanerao - 96 miles

In the morning, we cross Jodhpur’s hustling and bustling old town, dominated by the imposing Mehrangarh Fort. We head through the land of the Bishnoi, a community who have always lived a very pure, eco-friendly life, long before it was even a concept. Then, we go south towards the ancient Mewar kingdom. We make our way to the charming town of Ghanerao on pretty, rural roads, passing several hamlets and villages, home to the Rabari tribe.

D6 / Ghanerao - Udaipur - 70 miles

We leave Ghanerao early in the morning and cruise on superb country roads, crossing many villages and small valleys. The region is perfect for discovering charming country scenes before arriving at the white city: Udaipur.

D7 / Udaipur - 30 miles

We make a pit stop in Udaipur for the day, taking some time out to watch the sunrise over Lake Pichola, a beautiful sight with the palaces reflecting on the water. The Aravallis act as the city's backdrop, making it a pleasant destination at any time of year. You can get lost among the city's maze of narrow streets, go shopping or visit its famous City Palace.

D8 / Udaipur - Chittorgarh - 80 miles

After our day off, we hit the road again and head for Chittorgarh citadel, overlooking the Aravalli valley. Built atop a rocky plateau, India's largest citadel is listed as a UNESCO heritage site and its remains are proof of the city's Rajput splendour.

We leave Ranthambore in the morning and head to the mythical "pink city" Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan. Chaotic yet orderly, exuberant but enchanting, the city was built during the desert’s splendour. You have the afternoon free to visit the city and its treasures: The Palace of the Winds, the famous observatory and the City Palace.

It’s already our last day on the bikes! In the morning, we visit the impressive Amer Fort, located a few miles north of Jaipur: a fantastic way to end this tour! The riders' opinions

Steve
Mind blowing experience

“Just finished a Ramble of Rajasthan. Before I went I was a bit apprehensive, but I needn't have worried. From the 1st time I met the rest of the group it was FANTASTIC ! The tour guide (Deepak) mechanic (Junaid) and support driver (Israr) were all great as well as a great laugh.I have been riding road bikes for 40 yrs , so my 1st time off-road was a bit nervy , but the Royal Enfield handled it without a murmur. The support and correspondence from the whole Vintage Rides team from start to finish was 1st class...so much so that I am booking my next trip with them to do the Trans Himalayan Adventure tour”

Ken
Excellent tour of Rajasthan

“Excellent tour of Rajasthan. Great bikes and superb accommodation. Anuj was just the best tour guide.”

Suresh Yeraballi
Lifetime experience riding across Rajasthan, India.

“Vintage Rides represented by Denise had tailormade a bike route in Rajasthan for four of us and I should say they have planned the trip so meticulously that everything went so seamlessly and gave us an experience of a lifetime, in terms of riding and the stay at some awesome places. They have mint condition bikes and an excellent team onboard, who are best in what they do and a note of thanks to the team leader Sid and support staff Ashraf, without whom the trip would have been incomplete. Cheers!”
