Set off to discover this Italian paradise out of peak season. This is the perfect adventure for riders who love a challenge and want to practise accessible off-road riding. You’ll take tracks that cross Sardinia’s most beautiful national parks and follow your guide on winding roads between the sea and mountains. The variety of terrains will give you the perfect opportunity to hone your riding skills on all types of surfaces from rocky trails to sandy tracks along the seafront. We’ll stay at some authentic farmhouses, called Agriturismi, where you’ll meet warm-hearted, spontaneous, genuine locals. With contrasting landscapes at every turn, often between turquoise sea and rugged cliffs, you’ll want to savour every moment.
Welcome to Sardinia! You’re met at the airport and transferred to a hotel in the countryside surrounding Tempio Pausania in the wonderful Mount Limbara region.
After enjoying breakfast in the company of our hosts, we get better acquainted with our Royal Enfield Himalayans. On smooth World Rally Championship tracks and stretches through charming hinterland villages that have a yesteryear feel about them, we cross the Gallura region and reach the coast.
Today is the day we really get to experience Sardinia’s diverse landscapes. We leave the shimmering Mediterranean Sea and Gulf of Orosei behind us as we gradually push deeper into the heart of the Gennargentu National Park with its towering cliffs and winding ravines. This wild landscape is reminiscent of Corsica’s hinterland with its stark contrasts.
Today, we leave Nurallao on smooth tracks between meadows and soon reach Giara di Gesturi plateau, known for its nature reserve. After admiring the wild horses, we head off to discover the Monte Arci national forest tracks and reach Sardinia’s west coast and the Sinis Peninsula.
We ride between white sand dunes and turquoise sea, making the most of the sandy track, which runs along the coast and up towards the north of Sardinia. We take a winding road up towards Alghero and enter Porto Conte Regional Park, which is sure to be one of the most stunning moments during this adventure.
North Sardinia will prove to be quite a contrast to the past few days as it has an air of Saint Tropez glamour with its private beaches. We take our last tracks and trails across Mount Limbara and reach Tempio Pausania in the afternoon, making the most of our last night of Sardinian hospitality.
After saying farewell to our hosts, we head to the airport late in the morning for our return flights. This is where our services end.
