Great experience. I learnt alot. I struggled with a couple of the more difficult dirt roads (tracks) but also learnt my limitations and improved on some of them. Could not have managed as well without my husband leading the way. This was my first overseas motorcycle tour... but not my last.
i loved this trip we had a fantastic time i am from Australia and very experienced with dirt roads that is no problem but my wife not so as we would like to travel together i would like to see a better description of how much dirt and the general condition of these roads .
Brochure should be upto date regarding extent of off road
A great trip. Jean, in particular was outstanding. However, the accomodation was far too average. The average age was around 60 and relatively affluent. They expect and are used to better hotels. The other comment to to consider abandoning the “ safari” trip to Udawalawe. It is very very overcrowded with vehicles, very and few animals were seen. It’s simply not worth seeing. Perhaps there is a better place to see elephants ?
Great feature was the mix of nationalities on our trip, and the friends we made.
I am happy to have been taken part in this tour.
As previously said we had a wonderful tour my only concern was the state of the support vehicle. I think it is unsafe ie. No working seatbelts. No head restraints in rear. Tatty looking wires hanging out on dashboard. That would make me think twice about booking with Vintage again. Also I believe you should have a second outrider bike. We have been on many bike tours with other companies and they usually have 3. ie the mechanic always rides. We have had riding medical staff and sometimes just a sweeper rider to ensure nobody takes a wrong turn. Although Reshad did a great job we think he should have help especially as there can be a big difference in the capabilities of riders.
